Accountant

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and reporting.
• Helping develop budgetary and accounting policies.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage audit and compliance and group reporting package.
• Analyzing operating costs and the income and expenditures of organizations.
• Monitor and analyse financial data, identifying trends and variances with emphasis on capital expenditure, personnel costs and operating expense review
• Preparing tax return and BAS lodgements.
• Manage month-end processes including journal review, preparation of monthly management accounts and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits to provide necessary documents and explanations for NDIS transactions.
• Advice on finance, possible fraud, insolvency and taxation to the management.
• Implementing and managing accounting systems and advising on the selection and use of various accounting tools and software.
• Assisting with other accounting tasks, as required.
